Firefox?

My sister in law's birthday was Dec. 7th, so I sent her the following card
Fox stamp from Michael's Dollar bin. I stamped her in Memento Cantaloupe to match the beautiful foxes that run on my college campus. I used  Ranger liquid pearls for her eyes and enamel for her nose.
Stamp was given to me and the label is unreadable.Stamped Gina K Onyx Ink. White Cardstock is Gina K Pure luxury 120lb Card stock.
Pop-up from Silhouette file. I added extra candles and burned the edge. Sentiment from Too Much Fun Rubber stamps

Simple Gifts

It has been a tragic year for our family, and yet our faith stands firm. My brother loved the holidays and was the first to put out his lights. We had many years of happy holidays and intend to keep that tradition, remembering the many joys. Here he holds a "Santa" Grinch that I made for him years ago (before such items were available. It was his favorite Christmas movie. May we all remember the true spirit of Christmas and carry it in our hearts this season.
This year's card is simple, but I think appropriate. Happy and Joyous holidays to us all! The Image is from Stampendous, and is called "Wisemen". I inked with versamark andheat embosed with metallic bronze powder from Judikins. It is stamped on recollections cardstock.  I used Ribbon from Michael's and mounted it on gold cards from Recollections. I added stickles in burgundy, dark blue , and Christmas Green to their crowns.

A very Merry Doctors Christmas Card

I have a nephew whose family is terribly "Whovian". They will get this card for Christmas this year. Too much work for mass production, but good for a one-off. Since they are also "Grinchian", it seemed a good fit.
The images of Dr Seuss were pulled offline and printed on glossy photo paper,
The tardis is a cut file that I made. The wreath is a shrinky dink of a memory box wreath stamp that I had.
I suspect that they will love it, and will laugh. We all need one this year.

Birthday Card for Paul

My friend Paul had a birthday this week, so I sneaked into the craft room for a couple of hours.
I  SHOULD be grading, and honestly, have done for the past three says straight.
That said, I am not really feeling guilty, LOL.

He is a punster, so I added the IRONY stamp. Since he is also a master wood craftsman, I added the marquis mechanism for fun. It had the desired effect. Would do a couple of things differently, but am pleased, overall.
I used the scalloped circles  and  A2 filigree Delight dies from spellbinders. On the inside I used Labels 1 for the marquis reveal
Irony Stamp is from Impression Obsession
I also used as the sentiments from "Word to the Rescue"
The Happy Birthday is from JustRite Stamps with their old mounting system. A similar stamp can be found, but I love their old perfect alignment sets.

a busy day

Today is my best friend's birthday. Happy birthday, Kelly! And I am travelling to a bridal shower for my future niece Amber..Monday is my brother's birthday, and my MIL is under the weather. So, cards for all. Since Amber and Andy met at UF, I used a gator color theme for her shower card.

Since my brother's christian name is Austin,  I designed this card from a photo of a 1933 American Austin. In truth he was named after a grey model of this car.

and another featuring a 1939 edition for the stash

A pic of Kelly's card. She is a very invested mom of two dogs.

My friend melissa had a birthday last month ago
So I will share the card I made her

Thanks for reading!

The Fundraiser Was a Success

We had targeted $10K for the first one, and made that mark!
Thanks so much for all of the people who donated, helped, supported and showed up. My family is truly blessed.
The Pat Mullins Memorial Fundraiser
I sold 3-packs of cards:

If anyone is interested in these commemorative sets, contact me! All proceeds to the Pat Mullins Memorial Fund
The fund was established as reward money, investigation money, and any unspent goes to the Palmetto High School Music Department.

Preparing for a Silent Auction

As some of you know, my brother Pat was murdered a few months ago. It appears to be a random attack. We believe that he stumbled onto someone in the act of committing a crime who wanted no witnesses. We are having a fundraiser at the end of September to raise awareness and to raise funds for a reward.
One of the events is a Silent Auction, and I though that some boxes of cards would be a nice thing. Since Pat's nickname (for no cruel reason) was Pig, I thought that a pig angel would be nice. This is what I came up with.

He was a  good man. I am proud that he was my brother.

Enjoying a couple of hours in my craft room

After mopping the dog's room, washing the dogs, fixing breakfast, and doing some errands, I finally had a couple of hours to spend in my craft room.
I made two cards:
The first is a flip card, amde using all Gina K Design Products. I was feeling a bit fall today. I submitted it to the STV13MON34 challenge at stampTV.ning.com
The ribbon is from May Arts.

The second card uses The Moroccan Sizzix Embossing Folders and the Label Tags from Spellbinders. The card stock is again fired brick, over Kraft that I distressed with Fired brick DI.
The ribbon is new from Gina K, to go with the Merlot set. It is a cool cherry-chocolate color.
The sentiment is also Gina K. I dont know what the scrap of green card stock is. I just liked its feel with the card. Something in my stash.
I may get to sneak back out there after dinner, but we shall have to see! Have a great Holilday weekend!

Last two days of my vacation.

Sure, I have household chores to do, but I needed to do some work in my craft room to find some peace. The first 2 cards were by requirement, a friend who has had a recurrence of her breast cancer, and another who lost her stepfather this last week. Hopefully they will find some comfort and strength.
